notes on the collection

hello! i wanted to write some notes about the collection in more detail :^)

I recently took a trip to Paris and Copenhagen and wanted to share this as an extension of my trip, of my interpretations of the cities & what I was inspired by!

Paris was beautiful with its romantic detailing in the architecture, the leaves starting to change colors, the seine glistening on my morning run, the sun hitting the buildings and reflecting light in the most ethereal way! I was inspired by the locals shopping at the farmers market, the calmness from a man organizing groceries at the store, and Parisians enjoying brunch with their loved ones on the patio.

Copenhagen was marked by true slow living - biking along the serene tree paths lined with changing colors, early mornings with sounds of kids get ready to start their days, endless pastries, and the simplistic yet functional and intentional design of everything.

The common thread that I found while traveling were the small joys that I found in the everyday living of the Parisians and Danish.

My favorite memories from this trip are nothing special and are relatively small everyday moments - biking and eating pastries, picnics with a baguette and butter looking at scenic sights, and girl dinners with core memories shared with friends.

I find the most joy in the smaller and calmer moments of the in-between and believe that the real luxury and privilege in life is to be able to walk in life with the people I cherish, to experience slow moments, and have peace of mind.

With this being said, I wanted to use my resources and abilities to be able to do more for my local community, especially those experiencing housing insecurity - in hopes to alleviate and give a small bit of peace of mind!

Will be donating all profits of this travel-inspired collection from this online store to The Bowery Mission to help our neighbors experiencing housing insecurity and hunger.

Know this isn’t much but hoping that some sort of impact & good can be found from something small! As I find blessings in life, I hope these ceramics can also bring you small joys that I found from Copenhagen & Paris, and hopefully ultimately help those in need in nyc.

Stay warm and with love,

Wendy
